Kent Harris is a multimedia designer and visual storyteller from Columbus, Ohio. She currently works as a Creative Designer for McGraw-Hill Education integrating her proficiency in digital design with her passion for education. Her commitment to education extends beyond academic and reaches into the social, cultural, and political empowerment of marginalized groups through multimedia storytelling.
Kent studied Interactive Multimedia Design and Media & Social Change at Ohio University where she received both her B.S. in Communication and B.S. in Visual Communication. It is this education that bred her desire to enlighten through storytelling.
Aside from her current role at McGraw-Hill, she works to unlock innovation and assist with visually defining small brands and businesses whose purpose align with her own through photo, video, and design services.
Kent’s most recent endeavor is the founding and launch of multimedia storytelling collective, The Wavemakers Co. It is the collective’s mission to combat dysfunctional representation through the preservation of black narratives.
